Ian Anthony Rook, of no fixed address, is accused of grievous bodily harm and possession of a lethal weapon. He was detained after Dr Nasser Kurdy was injured outside Altrincham and Hale Muslim Association on Grove Lane in Altrincham on Sunday night.
